Happy Halloween Friends!
Also, Happy Birthday to my wonderful dad! He is actually in town for work and is staying with us - so nice to be able to spend his actual birthday with him this year - and of course super excited to cook a delicious birthday dinner :)
I love that image above because that was the first time my dad saw me on my wedding day, and actually it was the first time he had even seen the dress. Such a special moment.
Marissa and Spencer had a beautiful uptown Charlotte wedding that took place on the outdoor patio of the Harvey B. Gantt Center. It was so fun getting know both Marissa and Spencer as they planned their wedding and it was clear that these two adore each other. That leads me to my favorite thing about this wedding - how these two look at each other. As the bride and groom, the wedding day flies by and can be so hectic that it is hard to remember to just slow down and take it all in - but one thing I noticed is when things got a bit crazy Spencer could ease Marissa and bring a smile to her face. Here are a few highlights from their big day, many of which captured how I think they are together in real everyday life...stealing quick glances, being goofy and laughing.
I was in LOVE with Marissa's dress. So lovely. These two shared such a sweet first look, Marissa was so cute walking up to Spencer and I am pretty sure Spencer could not have smiled any bigger after seeing her for the first time.
Who knew the Festival of India would be in town on their wedding day? These two had lots of curious onlookers during their uptown photo session :)
Awesome grandmother. I love how happy Marissa is right after the ceremony...showing off her gorgeous ring of course! So, so, so much love. Moments like this make my heart full of happiness. Now once the party got started...there was LOTS of dancing! Congratulations Marissa and Spencer!! What a fabulous night it was celebrating with you two!
