Marla | Davidson, NC | Bridals

Marla was married this past weekend and had a gorgeous Charlotte wedding. I fell in love with everything about her bridal look the day we did her portraits, it was so hard to keep it all a secret! She looked so glamorous – I was in love with her hair, her dress, her bouquet of beautiful purple flowers and her make-up was flawless. Marla was stunning. Here are a few of Marla from her bridal session to hold you over until I post special moments from Marla and John’s wedding day!

GORGEOUS, right? Marla’s hair and make-up was done by the talented Lindsey Regan Thorne :)

Nelson Family…and Eli’s debut | Wagram, NC | Family

Terry and Vince just celebrated 41 years of marriage earlier this year. I just love the second image of them below because after all those years they still look so in love. Not only did they have a great anniversary to celebrate, but they also welcomed their second grandchild into the family this summer. I met up with everyone at their farm to take some family photos…I was so excited to see Piper and finally get to meet baby Eli!

Piper, the oldest grandchild for Terry and Vince, is such a little mama’s girl. She turns three in November and it amazes me how much she has learned since the last time I saw her.
Now meet baby Eli. One thing I learned about him (besides the fact that he super cute) is that this kid can seriously sleep anywhere. He was asleep just moments before this photo and after we woke him up he was asleep seconds after this was taken.
Who doesn’t love baby feet? I know I do.
So sleepy. Getting your photo taken is HARD work for a little guy.
Everyone all together with Eli trying to squeeze in a power nap ;)

Thanks for having me! Piper and Eli are going to have so much fun growing up  as cousins!

Kelly + Clark | Charlotte, NC | Wedding

Kelly and Clark had a beautiful uptown Charlotte wedding. There was a lot I loved about their wedding. The little details Kelly focused on. The love and support that poured from their families and friends. The dancing…especially the fact that Clark knew how to Dougie (awesome, right?). But what I loved the most was that while Kelly and Clark were excited about being around those that have impacted their lives, it was evident that they were most focused on what truly mattered most that day.

They were focused on each other, the love between them and the commitment they were making. Their beginning together.

Now I know this may be a bit biased, but I sure do love a bride and groom who support the Wolfpack :)  Stunning Bride.
How adorable is this flower girl? Yes, she was as sweet as she looks. I absolutely love photographing the groom right before the ceremony. It warms my heart seeing how excited they are for their big day.
Just a take a peek at the photos below…Kelly and Clark sure knew how to dance and have a great time with their guests.

Congratulations Kelly and Clark!! It was such a joy and honor to photograph your special day. I know you two are going to have some fun life adventures together…and of course some of those fun times will be at Wolfpack games ;)

Oh, and for those of you wondering…yes, the cake was DELISH.

September 11th.

Please take a moment today to think of the innocent men and women who died that day. Take a moment to think of those families who lost loved ones…think of those children who never saw their parents again. Take a moment and think of all the soldiers overseas and here  in the U.S. serving and protecting our country.

Today, I will also be taking a moment to really look around me and count my blessing.

Spencer + Anna Grey | Siler City, NC | Surprise Proposal

Spencer had such a sweet proposal planned for Anna Grey. He had the ring and he had the idea…he was just toying with idea of having the moment captured. I am SO glad he called me to capture his proposal, because not only was it such a thoughtful (and one heck of a surprise!) but it also allowed me to meet the two of them. He is a teacher and a youth pastor at their church and He explained he had though of a different ways to propose, but in his heart, since the church meant so much to both of them, he felt that this is how it was meant to me.

The church was gorgeous, the congregation was in tears…and Anna Grey was totally surprised. It was perfect :)

Congratulations Spencer + Anna Grey!! Thank you for letting me capture such a special day. Enjoy ever minute of your engagement :)
