Kathleen and Brian decided to do their engagement session in Washington, DC since that is where they fell in love. To be even more specific, these two met at a Bruce Springsteen concert...how awesome is that? 2012 is big year for both of them. Not only are they getting married in September - Kathleen also recently moved back north as she accepted an amazing new job in NYC and Brian just graduated MBA school this month! So thrilled to be documenting their big day and how exciting that they will be starting their new life together in NYC :) These next two photos are right outside the tavern Brian proposed to Kathleen, so sweet! Courtney married her best friend this past Saturday in Chapel Hill, NC. She wore a simple, elegant gown by Lela Rose and looked absolutely stunning. Take a peek into her bridal session from last month. Check back soon for moments from their big day! On the day of her bridal session I decided to capture a few moments on film - and I just adore these next two film scans. So soft and romantic. Courtney took a few images in a nearby field with a family heirloom chair and a blanket her grandmother had knitted. I loved the idea of incorporating sentimental items during her session - it was the perfect touch...and we couldn't have asked for a more perfect day for her shoot! Congratulations Courtney and Matt!

Hope y'all had a fantastic Memorial Day weekend! It was a bit overcast yesterday morning here in VA so a girlfriend and I hit the mall for the first part of  the day and eventually found ourselves trying on some fabulous Tory Burch wedges (shhh, don't tell our husbands!) - perfect timing for my Tuesday Shoesday post.
