Family + Kids Newborn
It is always such an honor getting that call from past clients asking me document a new chapter in their life. Brittany and John were married a couple years ago and I had the pleasure of documenting their vows at the Art Museum of North Carolina in Raleigh. Lucca decided to surprise her mom and dad and make her debut a little early at 34 weeks and my goodness she is just perfect. Congratulations Brittany and John!

With such a devastating tragedy that happened yesterday in Boston it's important to take a step back, take a breath and really count our blessings. After reading story after story online, looking at photos of the event and then hearing a close friend of mine tell me she is mourning the loss of one of the victims, it just breaks my heart. Events like this make me feel so helpless as I just sit here and can only imagine what the victims, family and people of Boston are going through.
That is why when choosing which session to blog today I decided to post one that embraces love and pure innocence. This sweet couple tried for years to have a baby naturally but it took seeking medical help before they were able to have this little miracle :) Please meet Miss Lucy Emma. Her nursery is all girl. Clean design, whites, pinks and of course ruffles. I would expect nothing less of her super stylish mama :) And that name...don't you just love her name. Lucy Emma. Beautiful. As I've said many times to family, friends and even have it on my website...I truly believe children are life's everyday miracles. While I can only imagine what those suffering from yesterday's attack are going though it's important we remind ourselves that the vast majority are GOOD. The vast majority are KIND. The vast majority are HOPEFUL. The vast majority are FULL OF LOVE.

I had the pleasure of documenting the Vint family as they welcomed their newest little addition to make them a family of four. Sweet Gracie was just about a week old during this shoot...she was so tiny and oh so perfect. Parker was such a proud big brother as he loved on Gracie for a few photos and even hung out with me to show off his new big kid room full of stripes and airplanes!
