Karen and Brian met me bright and early for their New York City engagement session. As I’ve mentioned in my past New York City posts, I LOVE New York. Some people don’t like all the hustle and bustle. And it is true, everyone is always in a rush. The lifestyle is much different than down here in the south and I’ll be the first to admit I am not sure I could actually move to NYC, Chicago or LA, but I sure do get excited to visit! I have to be honest, I have never seen NYC at this time of day on a weekend. Now I’ve stayed up into the wee hours of the morning since their nightlife doesn’t end until 4 a.m. and shortly after that point you can bet I have found my bed…but this particular morning I was up and outdoors at 5 a.m. and it was perfect. We photographed along the Hudson River and ventured into the Meatpacking District. It was just us and the city…with the occasional runner passing by. It was perfect.
The one thing I loved the most about photographing these two is how comfortable they were with each other. Brian was so great at making Karen laugh and Karen would just snuggle up just perfectly by Brian’s side. They are truly a great pair! Congratulations Karen and Brian!

Mo + Mike | Washington, DC | Married

Maureen (Mo) and Mike were married a couple months ago in Washington, DC and had a lovely reception at the Four Seasons in Georgetown. If you remember the highlights I shared from their engagement session you also probably remember me telling you these two laugh a lot. It was no different on their wedding day. Mo and Mike are two of the most genuine, kind-hearted, laid back people I have met. After hearing the toasts from the rehearsal dinner and reception I realized everyone felt this way about them. Family and friends spoke to the fact that both Mo and Mike hard working, fun, compassionate people and together make an unstoppable duo.

They had a classic, elegant wedding that truly celebrated their love for one another with all their closest family and friends. I so look forward to hearing about Mo + Mike’s life adventures!
Love this overview shot Sarah captured from the above balcony. Needless to say, this group was so much fun to document! Each one of them was there to have a good time in celebrating Mo + Mike’s union, it felt like one big family! How awesome are these late night mini-sliders? Yum! Congratulations Mo + Mike! Jenn + Todd | New York, NY | Engaged

New York City…one of my favorite places to visit because I find it to be so full of passion and energy.

Jenn and Todd met on vacation while watching a Giants game on TV…Todd fell in love with Jenn as she was she was letting him know what she thought about him booing her beloved Giants. Adorable, right? These two are starting their life together in NYC so it was only fitting to do their engagement session there :)
Love the photo of them dancing in front of the Brooklyn Bridge. So sweet. Congratulations Jenn and Todd! Thank you for allowing me to come up and capture your love in such a fantastic city :)

I met Lincoln just as he was turning one week old. This little man surprised his mom and dad and made his debut a bit earlier than expected, I was very thankful that I was still in town to capture these moments.

Becca Jane and Todd, one of my sweetest couples yet.
I so enjoyed getting to know these two as walked all around DC on such a gorgeous April afternoon. Becca Jane and Todd were so playful in front of the camera it was easy to capture their natural laughs and love for each other. These two have an incredible (almost movie-like) love story, which I’ll be sure to share more of when I post images from their wedding later on this year…trust me, we’ll need images of some others to help tell this story ;)
