    This adorable family has been on the blog before when Carla Jo was about 8 months pregnant with Jackson and then again just after Jackson was born. There is lots of love in this post as Carla Jo and Jon just celebrated their 2 year anniversary earlier this month and little man Jackson will be turning 1 in December. For those that don’t know, Carla Jo was my pot-luck college roommate (all 4 years!) and is one of my very best friends. My how the time flies! Carla Jo and Jon are one of those couples that are always smiling and laughing…and as you can see below, Jackson has taken after his mommy and daddy.

    During this photo shoot the entire NC State cheerleading team walked by and “ooohhhhed and awwwed” over Jackson….and he didn’t mind one bit. Watch out ladies, he is going to be a little heartbreaker, just look at those GORGEOUS eyes!

    Of course I had to get a few shots of just Carla Jo and Jon…

    I can’t wait for Jackson to celebrate his 1st birthday, so exciting! Love you all!

    Anna Grey + Spencer | Raleigh, NC | Engaged

    Spencer and Anna Grey were technically already photographed for their engagement…Anna Grey just didn’t know it was going on initially. I had the honor of capturing Anna Grey say “YES” as Spencer surprised her with a proposal in front of their congregation at church. And lucky for me, they decided to book me for their wedding too! Now onto their official engagement session…

    Remember those days where we used to “go out” with someone. Well Anna Grey and Spencer did just that in the 8th grade…she was so smitten she made a clay heart in art with his initials in it…and after all those years they’re engaged to be married! (I know we’re all thinking it…”awww” :) When I heard this little story and the fact that she still had it I of course asked her to bring it :)

     Now I am sure you have noticed the crack in it. Well…these two broke-up  so it makes total sense an 8th grade girl would break this clay heart and throw it away. The remarkable part of this story – Anna Grey’s mom took it out of the trash and saved it…all because she had a feeling and knew that Anna Grey would want it back if they ever decided to “go out” again. How perfect is that?

     This last set are two of my favorite photos from their session. CONGRATULTIONS Anna Grey and Spencer…I can’t wait for your July wedding!!

    Meet sweet Ivy Lucille – born so tiny + perfect at just 5 lbs, 15 oz and 18.5 inches. I was so excited to meet her not only because I adore babies but because I have never seen a baby less than 1 day old – she is a little angel. Can you tell I am totally smitten?
