Anna Grey + Spencer | Siler City, NC | Wedding

Over a year ago I got a call from Spencer to see if would attend a Sunday service at the church he was a youth minister to document his proposal to Anna Grey in front of the entire congregation. I couldn’t believe how sweet his story was and of course said yes! That was the first time I had met either of them and soon after I was lucky enough to say they booked me for their wedding day! I had a few email exchanges and phone chats with Anna Grey but I was so excited to spend some quality time with them at their Engagement Session a few months after their engagement.

Anna Grey and Spencer are such kind people whose faith is an important part of their everyday relationship. These two have known each other since the 8th grade now years later they’re happily married. The way I meet each of my couples is so different as is the relationship I have with them – so thank you Spencer for calling me last summer and allowing me to opportunity to meet you and Anna Grey – it’s truly been so wonderful getting to know you two and your families!

Anna Grey decided to do a first look with her father which I LOVED. A daddy-daughter relationship is something so special and now they have this special moment between the two of them to remember forever.
Congratulations Mr. and Mrs. Andrews!!

Margo + Patrick | Louisburg, NC | Wedding + Press

I am so excited to share Margo + Patrick’s June wedding on the blog today! Their wedding was planned beautifully by the talented Erin of Erin McLean Events of Raleigh and was recently featured on the Southern Bride + Groom Blog. If you remember from when I blogged their Engagement Session from earlier this year I mentioned what a sweet, laid-back couple they are. When the two of them are together there is a feeling of love and calm that is contagious. I was amazed at how Patrick and Margo always remembered what was most important about their wedding day. They truly embraced the importance of celebrating their love with their family and closest friends. Their wedding was intimate and had touches of themselves throughout.

Their ceremony and reception took place at Margo’s childhood home in Louisburg, NC and the two were married with the help of Patrick’s grandfather leading the ceremony. Their day couldn’t have been more perfect.

How gorgeous are these florals by the English Garden
To make Margo + Patrick’s wedding story even sweeter, Patrick’s grandparents (photographed below) celebrated their 62nd Wedding Anniversary. Needless to say these two won the generations dance that evening :)

Congratulations Margo + Patrick!! I loved getting to know you both and your families! What a happy celebration this was!

And of course a huge high-five to all those vendors that made this wedding so perfect :)

Britney + Kevin | Raleigh, NC | Engaged

I first chatted with Britney a few months ago about their Summer 2013 wedding – it was one of those chats when I got off the phone, I knew they would be an amazing couple to work with! We had a gorgeous, sunny summer evening for their session around NC State. It was a bit warm, but these two kept smiling and showed their love to the camera.

So pretty! Cannot wait to see Britney on her wedding day!
Both Kevin and Britney were Varsity swimmers for NC State so we of course and had to sneak a few shots of them at the pool :) What a fun time I had with you two! Congratulations!

Anna Grey | Durham, NC | Bridals

Anna Grey is beautiful inside and out. It was truly an amazing experience getting to to know and document Anna Grey and Spencer. They were married this past Saturday in Siler City, NC and are currently enjoying their Jamaican honeymoon! Here are a few of my favorites from Anna Grey’s bridal session…

…and a little sneak peek of Spencer and Anna Grey on their wedding day ;) Check back soon for more wedding day photos! Congratulations Spencer + Anna Grey!!

Sara + Garrett | Roanoke Rapids, NC | Engaged

I couldn’t ask for a better engagement session. We had GORGEOUS morning light, a pretty property with nice big trees, two chocolate labs (Bailey and Fletcher) and of course an adorable couple in love. Sara and Garrett each had their own chocolate lab and became smitten with each other at the dog park…perfect love story if you ask me :)

Sara and Garrett are getting married next spring in the Outer Banks, I’m so glad she brought these bikes down from the beach for their engagement session!
Congratulations Sara and Garrett!

Sarah + John | Raleigh, NC | Engaged

NC State graduates, fun-loving personalities and a pup. Sarah and John are totally my kind of people. Having met at NC State University Sarah and John wanted to do their engagement session where their love began. They brought their sweet pup, Lucy…and even had their friend come along to assist with Lucy who happily bribed her with lots of yummy treats. Oh the things we do for photos :)  I absolutely adore these next two images of Sarah and John. These two would snuggle right up for the camera, making it easy to capture their love. Lucy joined Sarah and John in these next few sets of images – how adorable is she? Congratulations Sarah and John! Super excited to be photographing y’all near NC State again for your October Wedding :)

Courtney + Matt | Raleigh, NC | Engaged

Last year as I started to develop my new brand, a huge part of the process was to really determine my ideal clients. It is important to me that my couples feel comfortable with me and I with them. I have truly been lucky to meet the people I have so far – my clients are awesome and I am so thankful for the friendships I have been able to create along the way. Courtney and I met briefly at another wedding I was photographing – and when I heard from her mom after Courtney got engaged I was so excited they contacted me. Having an authentic connection with my clients is critical to me doing my best work. It is 2012 and I am so looking forward to working with each and every one of my clients this year – It is going to be a FANTASTIC YEAR!

We started their engagement session at the NC State bell tower per Matt’s request (no arguments from me…GO PACK!). We had a fun afternoon as we walked around during their session – it was such a pretty day that everyone was out and about enjoying the weather…these two definitely had an audience everywhere we went, but no worries, as you can see below Courtney and Matt are naturals in front of the camera ;)

Probably one of my most favorite images from the session below. Let the countdown begin to Courtney + Matt’s May wedding!
